NApp is an alumni community platform for adults who attended Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This page publishes the standards we follow to prevent, detect and act on such abuse.
1. An adults-only, verified community
- NApp is intended for users aged 18 and over. The platform's target audience is alumni of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.
- Every account is manually verified as a genuine member of the Navodayan community before it can access the platform. Anonymous or unverified accounts cannot interact with members.
2. Zero tolerance for CSAE and CSAM
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers minors is strictly prohibited on NApp.
- This prohibition covers all areas of the platform: profiles, posts, comments, media uploads, group content and private messages.
- Violation results in immediate account termination and preservation of evidence for law enforcement.
3. Reporting child safety concerns
- Any user can report content, accounts or behaviour that raises a child safety concern directly to our team at imanavodayan@gmail.com (subject: "Child safety report"). Reports are reviewed with priority.
- In-app reporting of content and accounts is available so that concerns can be flagged without leaving the app.
- Reports may be made anonymously and are handled confidentially.
4. How we respond
- Reported content and accounts are reviewed by the platform's administrators, and confirmed violations lead to immediate removal and account termination.
- We comply with all applicable child protection laws, including India's Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Information Technology Act.
- Where the law requires, we report CSAM and CSAE activity to the relevant regional and national authorities and cooperate fully with law enforcement.
